Radio presenter Edward Kwach dies after battle with Meningitis
Veteran Kenyan radio presenter Edward Carey Kwach has passed away at the age of 49 after a battle with meningitis.
The family of former Nairobi County Speaker, Beatrice Elachi, is mourning the untimely passing of her son, Murakana, who was set to graduate in June this year.
Murakana, who had been pursuing his studies at a local university, was on the verge of celebrating a major academic milestone before his sudden demise. The heartbreaking news has left family, friends, and loved ones in deep sorrow.
Speaking to the media, Elachi described her son as a brilliant, ambitious, and loving young man whose future was promising. “We had so many plans for his graduation. It is painful to lose him just when he was about to step into a new chapter of his life,” she said.
Burial Details Announced
The family has announced that Murakana’s burial will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2025, at their rural home in Western Kenya. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, March 29, at a Nairobi church, where family, friends, and well-wishers will gather to pay their last respects.
