Obinna explained that his gesture was purely out of goodwill, emphasizing that he values supporting people who have been instrumental in his life. "Dem Wa Facebook has been there for me in different ways. I just felt it was the right thing to do," he said.

Additionally, Obinna revealed that one of the main reasons he bought her the car was because he was not okay with how she struggled to get cabs during meetings. According to him, the frequent cab expenses added up to Ksh 5,000, which was an extra cost that he felt could be avoided. "Every time we had a meeting, she would have to take a cab, and that was Ksh 5,000 extra. It didn’t make sense, so I decided to make things easier for her," he explained.

However, his decision did not sit well with his ex, who allegedly expressed strong disapproval. "She felt it was unnecessary, but at the end of the day, I make my own decisions," Obinna added, maintaining that he was unbothered by the backlash.

Dem Wa Facebook, known for her humorous online content, expressed her gratitude on social media, thanking Obinna for his kindness. The move has since ignited debates online, with netizens sharing their thoughts on whether it was appropriate for Obinna to make such a grand gesture, especially considering his ex's reservations.

Regardless of the mixed reactions, Obinna remains firm in his decision, stating that he does not regret it. "I believe in giving where I feel it's deserved," he concluded.
