Haitian President Visits Kenya Troops as Search for Missing Officer Continues

Haitian President Fritz Alphonse Jean has arrived in Kenya to meet with Kenyan troops deployed to Haiti as part of an international security mission. As part of his visit, President Jean met with MSS's LSA 2 Camp, led by Force Commander Godfrey Otunge, to reaffirm Haiti's commitment to working closely with MSS officers and other stakeholders in the search for the missing officer. His engagement underscored the urgency of the situation and the need for coordinated efforts to ensure the officer's safe return.

Meanwhile, the search for the missing Kenyan officer continues, with both Kenyan and Haitian security agencies intensifying efforts to locate him. The officer, whose identity has not been officially released, was reported missing during an operation in a gang-controlled area. Authorities suspect that he may have been taken hostage, though no group has claimed responsibility.
